3 of the Best: Body oils for super smooth skin

Whether you're planning for date night or simply want to treat yourself, we've rounded up the best body oils for the job.

January is over, which means we can dust off our dancing shoes and get back to misbehavin' again right? First things first, though - we'll need to sort out our skin. Because if you're anything like us, it's been a case of high neck, big, cosy jumpers and thick opaque tights for the past few months. Yep, it's been trés sexy here at Beaut HQ.

As we're all aware, winter and smooth skin don't always go hand in hand. We're constantly assaulted with central heating for a start. A necessary evil it might be, (no one wants to work in an ice-box) but it is unfortunately also a moisture-sucking monster. Couple that with a compulsion to replace the recommended daily water intake with warm drinks like tea and coffee and you've got a recipe for some seriously dehydrated skin.

So we come to our skin saviour - body oils. Nourishing and soothing, they remain one of our favourite ways to bring dry, scaly skin back to looking like it belongs on a human rather than a lizard. Here are a few of our current favourites for super smooth skin.

  • Bioderma Atoderm Shower Oil

Bioderma might be best known for the facial products, and more specifically their micellar water but there are some real gems in the body collection too. The Atoderm Shower Oil is particularly great for hydrating even the most sensitive or irritation-prone skin, turning from a light oil to foam once it comes into contact with water. It's available in 200ml or 1L with RRP €7.50 and €15.50 respectively.

  • NARS Monoi Body Oil

There’s nothing quite like a rich body oil massaged into skin to bring back a healthy look, especially if you’ve been keeping your limbs wrapped up in layers of clothing over the winter.

NARS Monoi Body Glow II not only gives skin back its lustre but also smells absolutely gorgeous too. It's a luxe treat at €65, but you're worth it, right?

  • Roger & Gallet Bois D'Orange Dry Oil Spray

For anyone who is short on time, a dry oil is always a good option. And this one from Roger & Gallet is one of our all-time favourites offering up a glorious fragrance along with plenty of skin nourishing goodness. At €26.95 it isn't cheap, but you don't need to use much to see great results, so it lasts for ages.
