3 dark lipsticks that won't make you look like you're dressed for Halloween

If you love a pop of colour on your lips you'll love the Urban Decay Vice lipstick collection and they have colours and textures to suit everyone.

I tried three different colours and textures from this collection and I have to say, I'm impressed. They all come up trumps in the areas I look for in a lipstick:

  • Glide-ability
  • Colour pay-off
  • Longevity

I tried out 'Conspiracy' which is a metallized texture, 'Rock Steady' which is a cream and 'Disturbed' which is a comfort matte.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Disturbed €18

This one is Disturbed worn with Current lip pencil by MAC. The colour might be a bit dark for some people's taste but I love a wine coloured lip. I think a colour this dark needs to be a matte texture so that it doesn't end up all smudged and looking more like Halloween makeup.

Pro tip: wear it with a bright red liner underneath to brighten the colour.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Rock Steady €18

The pigment intensity from this one is immense and it glides on beautifully. It doesn't drag at all thanks to a blend of aloe vera, jojoba, avocado and babassu oils. I usually find a red lipstick with a pink undertone hard to wear because they can make your teeth look yellow. Surprisingly this didn't.

The last one I tried was Conspiracy in a metallized texture. I wasn't mad on the colour but and it's not as hydrating as the cream but it stays on amazingly well even through eating and drinking.
