There they were.
In the Bodyshop yesterday. Like old friends. Little oily friends.
Oh Dewberry oil. You scented the air through manys the night drinking cans of Ritz round the back of the GAA disco. You were all there. Strawberry, Rose, Satsuma, White Musk and all the rest.
Remember when you could get your own little bottle filled up from one of the big ones?
Nothing had changed. You were lined up in your little roundy glass bottles on the shelf calling, try me, try me.
There used to be squillions of scents though, in big glass bottles, proudly situated in the centre of the shop. Now there's just a few select scents discreetly located on a shelf at the back. No sign of Fuzzy Peach which used to be my absolute fave and which I used to overpowering effect.
But are they still as good this time round?

Memories did come flooding back, cos smell like nothing else seems to fling wide open the doors of long forgotten times.
Unfortunately the scents seemed sickeningly sweet and cloying. Dewberry trailed around H&M and Oasis after me. You could almost see it hanging in the air.
So, thumbs down to this reincarnation. I liked it better as a fond memory.
What do you think?
