Rate it: your best budget buys

This is getting crazy. Comments disappearing, that was bad enough - but whole posts!! Christ. I've saved your comments so keep commenting.

We were talking about our favourite budget buys - the products we can't live without but which cost feck all.

1. Scarlett
   No 7 Black nail varnish! For some reason, black nail varnish seems to have a much shorter shelf life than any other colour, but you don’t mind so much when it doesn’t cost much more than a fiver!

   Rimmell hide the blemish concealer and maybelline dream matte mousse. I’ve tried all the expensive ones and these are still my favorites! Although I wouldn’t use the dream matte mousse if you have dry skin. For oily skin it really is a dream

   Carmex lip balm for sure.
4. Blondie
   Barbara Daly at Tesco concealer (the one in the sqaure pot) - just as good as Benefit Boing. Also Me Me Me eyeshadows from Superdrug which have great staying power and cost about a fiver.

   Would second the baby oil. A major bargain buy if you have serious dry skin issues and one that be used all over the body is a big tub of Aqueous Cream from your pharmacy. It is really cheap and moisturising. There are downsides like greasiness ( not suitbale really as a make up base), but if you use it at night for a moisuture hit it should be fine.Have not had this in a while, must go and get some soon.

   i’m going for good ole vaseline for dry lips… and pure coconut oil for dry hair!
   a tub of coconut oil is only about €4 and you get lots of uses out of that one tub!

   Coconut oil - never tried that! Going to now though!
