I blogged yesterday about red lips and lots of you said you'd kinda like to try it out, but it's all a bit scary, isn't it? Hard to get right, dominating - it might be best to leave well alone, eh?
But even if you don't think you can pull off a matte, high pigmented pucker, then gloss is a great way to go because it tends to be somewhat sheer and also gives the illusion of fuller lips, whereas a flat red can thin lips down, which is not so great if your pout isn't very full to begin with.
Jill was on the case - she told us that she's "very shy of red as well, but there was a girl in work wearing a lovely glossy orangey red which i went straight out and bought - it was Bourgeois Effet 3D in Rouge Sunset (no 27) and its lurvly". And she reckons that it would be "great with a tan too I imagine if i could get one of them this poxy summer".
