This simple trick will make lip lining so easy

Lip lining can be a difficult thing to master. When it comes to drawing the perfect lip line we might have a simple little trick to make the technique easier.

Lip lining can by tricky. It's not so easy to draw a perfect red lip that doesn't have a little wobble. Sometimes you'll find your lips look uneven and one side is fuller than the other. You need to find your outline and neither under draw it or overdraw by too much. When it comes to lips, they only have to be a millimeter out to make your pout look wonky.

There are a few things you can do to aid you when drawing on your outline:

1. Our first tip is to put pressure on the skin just past your lip line. When you press that spot gently it pulls your lip out a little so that you can get right to the edges with your lip pencil.

2. Colour in your whole lip with lip pencil, starting at the inside of the fullest part of your lip and working out to the edges.

3. Work with a sharp pencil, you need to keep it clean and sharpened to get a precise lip line.

4. If you find it really difficult to get a perfect edge using a pencil, apply your lipstick first. The lipstick colour will give you a more visual guide and you can just sharpen the edges using your lip pencil.

5. Using your pencil, start by drawing an X that starts at the point of each peak of your cupids bow. Then draw a straight line at the fullest part of our bottom lip. Once you have these starting points join each line to the outer edge of your lips. When you break it down into steps you should get a more accurate application.

We have found a simple diagram to show you our really easy technique. If you can manage to follow this step by step you should end up with a beautiful, crisp lip line.
