So Beard Transplants Are Now a Thing & They're Really Popular

When will it be cool again just to have a clean shaven face?

Possibly never, so if you're not a fan of beards, you'd better just find a way to get used to them, because men with follically-challenged faces are now righting that wrong according to Dr. Jeffrey S. Epstein, as he says beard transplants are rapidly rising in frequency.

The hair restoration surgeon was recently speaking to the New York Times, and said that while he used to perform about four or five of these surgeries a year, he's now carrying our 3 of them per week.

A full beard transplant at Epstein's office, from sideburns to chin, includes 1,000 hair follicles being taken from the back of your head and transplanted onto your face, and costs in the region of $7,000 dollars.

According to the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, in 2014 beard transplants accounted for 3.7% of all hair restoration procedures performed internationally, which is up from 1.5% in 2012. If Epstein's claims are to be believed, that figure is more than likely even higher now.
