Ruby Tandoh absolutely slams Paul Hollywood - and news on a rival cooking series

Last week, news broke that BBC had lost the rights to The Great British Bake Off to Channel 4. Since then, the question of which of the presenters are staying and going has been answered. Paul Hollywood will join the Great British Bake Off on Channel 4. Mary Berry, Sue Perkins and Mel Geidroyc are sticking with BBC.

Many fans of the show criticised Paul Hollywood’s move in what is believed to be an incredibly lucrative deal.

Past Great British Bake Off runner-up Ruby Tandoh made her feelings about the host’s move to Channel 4 very clear in a Twitter rant:

According to The Mirror, BBC chiefs hope to reunite Mary, Sue and Mel for a cookery show after they were priced out of keeping Bake Off.

Sources at the network said formats will be worked on in the coming months. A new chef will be drafted in to replace Paul. The Mirror speculates that former Saturday Kitchen host James Martin could be a candidate. They say they were informed by an insider: ‘We’ve got three of the fab four staying with us. We’re thrilled.
