Tops with rips in – seriously cool or a serious no-no?

It's all over men's fashion right now, but does it suit us ladies?

We’ve been eased back into the ripped jean with success (our auntie still hates them), but now the ripped shirt is being tried out and we’re unsure what to think. We know a ripped shirt would have a lot of us running away screaming, but it can be done right. Brands like New Look have embraced the subtle rip with some of their new lines, and we think that’s the secret – subtle. A couple of rips here and there keeps things edgy but be careful not to overdo it and look like you tried to break up a dog fight. What it really depends on is the look you’ve got going on already, Kate Middleton won’t be working it anytime soon, and that’s perfectly fine.

Will this trend be around for long? Probably not, so either embrace it while it’s here or wait for this whole thing to blow over.
