Jewellery Trend: It's All About the Coins (Not the Money, Money, Monaaay)

Have you noticed this jewellery trend cropping up in your favourite stores? Yep, coins were all the rage on the catwalks for Spring/Summer 2014 and have now, finally, made their way into the shops, so that us mere mortals can jump on the bandwagon (and Holly Willoughby has been a fan of the coin trend for years, with her much coveted duo version.)

Dolce & Gabbana are the forerunners on this one, as they continue to celebrate their love of all things Sicilian but fear not, you don't have to spend an absolute bomb if you don't want to. Whether you're after a jewel-encrusted pendant to add to your collection of luxury items, or something cheap and cheerful to try whilst keeping up with trends, below we've rounded up a selection of coin pendants, earrings and bracelets.

If you want something easy to wear, keep things simple with one eye-catching coin around your neck, or have a little fun with a headpiece (below).

And it's not just pendants, coins are featuring heavily on bracelets. This one below is from Parfois. Alternatively, whip out the Pandora charm bracelet and add a coin to that for a 2014 update.

So, what do you think? Is this a trend you can get on board with? Will you be digging out your old pound coins and drilling a hole at the top for something truly original? Or will you pop into to Topshop to see how the high street are catering to our needs?
