Kate Middleton debuts a much shorter hairstyle at Wimbledon

Kate Middleton's world-famous locks have taken a shearing, and it could be her best look yet

Get yer scissors out; the Kate Middleton effect has struck again.

The Duchess of Cambridge has had long flowing locks for for-absolute-ever. It suits her. She has very thick hair that frizzes up in the heat (the pics from her  New Zealand/Australia tour will confirm), and short hair would be much harder to manage.

If she was the type of person who didn't have access to a hair stylish with the click of a finger, I'd be concerned about her latest 'do. She does, though, so she could go for a pixie cut if she wanted to. I really want her to.

Maybe she's preparing to go short short? Her new style is just the length that people go to when they're thinking about going shorter; the most popular hairstyle in the world right now seems to be a waved LOB.

I think it's lovely. It really looks like a weight has been lifted.

But enough about the hair, check out that early 90s Princess Diana dress.
