Money no Object: Omorovicza

omorvicza

Fans of high end skincare, rejoice, for if you don't already know about Hungarian mineral cosmetology brand Omorovicza (say it oohm-orra-veet-sa), you'll be racing to Harvey Nicks in Dundrum by the end of this post.

Founded by the passionate and glamorous Stephen and Margaret de Heinrich de Omorovicza, the brand uses part of Stephen's family name - a family that fled Hungary during the World War 2, to avoid the shackles of communism. Back in his ancestral home, and determined to give something back, the couple began to create their luxury skincare line. With its aristocratic pedigree, bespoke fragrances concocted for each product in Grasse, beautiful Art Deco-inspired packaging and amazing formulations, this range is sheer luxury. Oh, and it does what it says on the tin, too.

Each product contains Hungarian mineral water, renowned for centuries for its healing properties. Using a custom delivery system called the Pannon Complex, Omorovicza products allow the unique properties of the minerals in the waters to penetrate down deep into the skin, where they can have a more profound effect. Silky textures, wonderful, natural scents and gorgeous formulations make this a brand that's fabulous to use, but which gives you beautiful skin too.

My particular favourites are the refining moisturiser, the night cream; gentle buffing cleanser and the instant plumping cream - a godsend for stressed (or hungover!) skin.

With prices averaging about €100, the products aren't on the cheap side, it's true - but oh my, are they worth it - a luxe splurge you won't regret.
