Everyone needs a red coat. In winter, people automatically drift towards dark colours, but bright colours are the ones that stand out.
Red Riding Hood probably had the wrong idea, to be honest. She was way too easily identifiable. If she'd been wearing a brown duffle, that fairytale would have had a totally different outcome. That's why you need a red coat, though. In a sea of blacks and greys, red stands out. Just ask Steven Spielberg and those photo editors who black and white everything except a red rose (eurgh).
