Lancome Get Gorgeous at Dublin Fashion Week - And You Get a Chance to WIN!
By Beaut.ie  | Apr 2, 2009

As it's Dublin Fashion Week, I trotted along to the Westbury last night as a guest of Lancome to check out the threads and beauty on offer at the Collective Designer Salon show, which was executed in a Chanel-esque fashion, with models wandering through the room as we all sat there glugging sipping champagne. Ah yeah, desperate hard old life etc.

While the show threw up  a new gem in the form of the very pretty clothes designed by Laura Guidi, a brand with a serious penchant for the 60s vibe of La Dolce Vita and the candied, ice cream shades of the Riviera, it was the beauty part I was most interested in.

Lancome are one of the official sponsors of the event and the makeup last night was a spring/summer take on Kate Winslet's Oscars look. Handily, La Winslet is also the face of Lancome's Tresor, so a nice tie-in there. What we saw was a very polished, luminous feel with flawless skin and rose-pink cheeks. Neutral, yet defined eyes were created from bone and brown shadows and lashings and lashings of Oscillation, and lips were finished with a soft pink.

I got to go backstage and take a look at what was used on the models - you can see my 'handiwork' above. Want to know a bit more about what was used - oh and get the chance to win a pile of goodies so you can create the look at home? Read on!

The lovely Tara, left, Lancome's crack makeup artist, took me through her kit, explaining what she used and why.

Model's skin was prepped with the brand's skincare and the base was given the very best chance of lasting thanks to La Base Pro, their primer. Foundation was the new long-wear Tient Renergie, designed to stay put for 14 hours.

The t-zone was lightly dusted with Colour Ideal pressed powder, and contouring was done with new Tropique Minerals bronzer.

Lips came courtesy of the L'Absolu Rouge lipstick range and eyes were shaded with beige and chocolate Ombre Absolu shadows.

So, now you've seen the kit and read what was used, do you fancy winning a pile of swag all for yourself to help you create the look at home?

WIN!

UPDATE! We have a winner and she is Lavisa Brennan, Co. Laois. Congrats and do allow for up to 28 days for delivery of your prize.
