Rita Ora's snapchats prove she's not Becky with the good hair

For the last week, we've all been wondering who the hell Becky with the good hair is. Have you been losing sleep? Us too. If you've no idea what I'm referencing here, you must have been residing under some cosy, internet-free rock (well for some) because for the past seven days, almost every inch of digital real estate has been dedicated to the dissection of Beyonce's Lemonade. After 'dropping' her surprise album (why do they say 'dropping'; are these celebrities desperately trying to hold on to their work but alas, their fingers are just too slippy?), the world's gossip-mongers (ourselves included) went into overdrive speculating over Beyonce and Jay Z's marriage, their rumoured affairs and the women Queen Bey so subtly alludes to in her latest cryptic offering.

For many, the Becky with the good hair to whom Bey was referring was X Factor judge Rita Ora. Why? Because, dear readers, Rita took to Instagram after the album miraculously fell out of the sky wearing a necklace with the letter J on it, a lemon applique bra and rather than posting words, she left it blank, only for Beyonce's insane collective to post a series of lemons emojis (Is this real life? Yes, sadly) and, lest we forget, in this particular photo she indeed had great hair.

The Beyhive naturally went into convulsions assuming that it MUST be Rita Ora who was once part of Jay Z's label Roc Nation but is now in a series of ongoing legal discussions with the man himself. But at last night's Met Gala, it became apparent that Rita maybe wasn't Becky at all, and maybe, she's one of Beyonce's most reliable allies in that she would put herself in the firing line with the simple aim of boosting Beyonce's album sales. Surely, it will have some nice publicity kick back for Miss Ora too, given that we're writing about her here. Genii, the pair of them. Either that or Beyonce's just really good at posing with women she loathes. Is that a hint of side-eye we detect?

Rita took to Snapchat with a photo of herself and Beyonce, along with the bold statement 'family', leaving the speculators in a total tizzy as to who this mystery woman may be.

Okay fine, I'll put you out of your misery; it was me, okay?
