PROMOTION: Laura Whitmore's Beauty Faves

Laura Whitmore

I don't have time for facials so on the rare occasion I get a bit of R&R or me time at home I love soaking in the bath with a face mask.  I've even been known to forget I have one on and run to answer the door, it can be a bit shocking for whoever's there!

I love the pale look, it's very 'in' at the moment in London but the odd time, say for a big red carpet event and if the dress was right, I might fake it - only a very little mind you, I'd probably use something like Johnsons Holiday Skin or similar - my one big tip is to exfoliate beforehand!

I'm not a great fan of tanning generally either and I'm just too restless but I never go out into the sun without sun protection or an spf of some kind.  My moisturiser, French skincare brand RoC HYDRA+ has a great range of moisturisers including one with an spf so that's the one I use if I'm going to be filming in the sun! Otherwise I use the RoC HYDRA+ 24 Hr Comfort Nourishing Cream that carries me from dawn til dusk!  My mother has always been really careful with her sunbathing and protecting her skin and she still has an amazing complexion - hopefully I'll be like her when I'm older!

I'm quite fair skinned so it can be difficult to find a foundation that matches but Clinique do some great ones and I'm a great fan of Mac red lippy and black eyeliner!  My 'desert island' must have is mascara: I have long lashes - good - but they're really fair - not so good - so I need to oomph them up for the camera with mascara.

I'm obsessed with water and hydration - I always carry a bottle of water with me that I'm regularly swigging out of and my Mum's the same - it's great for keeping the skin and system clear.  On the outside, I use RoC Extra Comfort Cleansing Water, its kind to my sensitive skin and it means I feel refreshed inside and out!!

I'm wear a lot of different perfumes, depending on my mood but at the moment DKNY Fresh Blossom is my favourite.

I have the most amazing hair dresser - he's called Michael Charalambous and he has a salon in Mayfair called Nyumba. I go to him every week either for a trim, a hair mask or a blow dry and he always does my hair if I have a red carpet event. I met him when I won the Pick Me MTV - part of my prize was a makeover and I chose him to do my hair, I really trust him and feel comfortable when he's doing my hair!
