Happy Australia Day!

To celebrate Australia Day, we have come up with a list of some of the finest exports that the land down under has brought into our lives.

On January 26th every year, we turn our attention to the far-flung, upside-down corner of the world that is Australia, and celebrate all things good that the Aussies have brought to our shores. From Thor himself to Summer Bay, and everything in between, Australia has given us a lot, so let us give appreciation for it all, especially Alf Stewart.

Kim Hyde has come a long way since Summer Bay, and now he's bloody Thor. Not bad, eh? He and the rest of the Hemsworth clan (Luke & Liam) may soon be dominating all of Hollywood.

Home & Away

Summer Bay has been a part of our lives for as long as we can remember, and we've felt at home in the Surf Club for years. Alf, Flathead, Angel, Pippa, Sally...they're like our flamin' family at this stage.

Flat White

The Americans are just getting this now (by which we mean Starbucks) but the Aussies have been making a mean coffee this way for years. RIP in pieces, of course, as Starbucks will have it destroyed within six weeks.

Tim Tams

If you're not familiar with a Tim Tam, then you need to change your life and get yourself some. Best served with tea, allow Natalie Imbruglia to showcase the proper technique on eating a Tim Tam from an old-school episode of Graham Norton.

Uggs

When worn correctly as slippers around the house, these are the absolute business and as comfortable as anything. Less acceptable when worn outside to your local shopping centre as you slope around lazily without lifting your feet off the ground properly.

Pugwall's Summer

'Nuff said.

The Girl From Tomorrow
