On a daily basis, hundreds of press releases, reader queries and emails from people trying to flog us stuff pour into our inboxes. But today, I got an email that made me giggle a lot.
"We think you are in the market for candles", it said. I am?? Wow - they know me better than I know myself! "We avail ourselves of this opportunity to approach you for the establishment of trade relations with you", it continued.

Right so, what did they have on offer? "We are a specialized manufacturer and exporter of various Ghee* Scented Candles with different fragrances", trumpeted the message.
Ah lads. You can't be sending emails to people in Ireland offering to sell them ghee scented candles. ESPECIALLY ones that are available in different fragrances.
*yes, I know ghee is a clarified Indian butter but for the purposes of this post, we're not mentioning that
