Now, maybe I have something against primers, I'm not really sure why. I don't love the texture of most primers. The main reason is that I feel your skin should be prepared and primed for makeup if you are using good skincare. So that's why I was particularly taken by this dual action product.

This hydrating balm has a divine texture that feels like skincare. It is like a drink for your skin. It also leaves a perfect surface on your skin for makeup application. When you first apply it, it drags a little as a balm would, but in seconds, the texture feels watery. The distilled water in the product takes over to leave your skin feeling soft and silky rather than balmy or silicone-y.
I used my usual vitamin C serum underneath the balm. Then I used the balm straight form the stick on my skin. It feels lovely going on. It's like intense hydration for your skin paired with a little massage to boost circulation. My skin was left feeling plumped with just the right amount of moisture for foundation application.
