Poor Katy has been AWOL now for close to six months on Fair City, and while we eventually got a glimpse of her back in September when we saw she had been kidnapped, neither us nor Katy had any idea who had taken her.... until last night.
Well, we say we had no idea, but in a poll last week 47% of you guessed who it was. Sherlock's got nothing on you lot.
Yep, it's Ciaran.
The young mechanic rocked up to Carrigstown a few months back with no real explanation for him being there other than work. He seemed like a sound enough fella but all is clearly not as it seems.
Last night, in the final moments of Fair City, we saw the dark side of Ciaran. Emmet arrived in distressed after going all Jason Bourne on Tommy Dillon, however, when he left, Ciaran smiled to himself and pulled out Katy's scarf from his bag, and then a smartphone with which he turned on footage of Katy in her room/bunker.

Question is, why did Ciaran kidnap Katy? And what is his grand plan? Well his motives are set to be revealed in tonight's episode, and you can expect things to really ramp up a gear next week.
