Kate Lanphear, former Style Director at Elle, recently made a surprise move to Maxim as their Incoming Editor-in-Chief and she is changing the magazine from the inside out.
One of her first shake ups involved the selection of the magazine's annual Hot 100 - yes, we get it, these are very beautiful women with glossy hair and teeth so white that they *ping*. And this year's winner does follow the genetically blessed system, with Taylor Swift topping this list. But Maxim have made it clear that they are naming her 'the most talented woman alive'.
The difference this year is that the award goes to Taylor as a result of her achievements like creating her new album in the way that she wanted, and winning every single award under the sun bar the Nobel Prize. That'll probably come too, it's only a matter of time.
Speaking about the award, Taylor said that it was "such an incredible compliment" and "it really feels like a wonderful celebration of my favorite year". The rest of the Hot 100 will be in the June issue, which is graced by a fresh-faced Taylor on the cover and yes, she looks stunning.
