Diorskin Nude Concealer Makes Me Go "Meh".

I'm well into my second bottle of Diorskin Nude foundation and had been reading rave reviews of this concealer online, so it's fair to say that I was thrilled silly when a tube made its way to me for review. (There may or may not have been a bit of excited squeaking as a result of the delira.) Diorskin Nude Skin Perfecting Hydrating Concealer, €27.50, to give it its full and correct name, promises to do it all: provide ultimate coverage, diminish the look of blemishes or redness, even out skin tone, minimise the appearance of dark circles and puffiness around the eye area, and work over time to improve skin with continued use - all without drying the skin.

My enthusiasm for this product waned a bit once I clocked that I'd received shade 002 - Beige - to trial. Years of using Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish compact foundations during my teens and the 20/20 vision of hindsight mean that I am now full certain that any make-up shade with the word "beige" in it is not for me. This was way too dark and orange-y for my skin (for reference, I'm NW15 in MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation) and I'd say that of the 4 shades available, Porcelain 001 is going to best suit typical Irish skins.

Coverage is light-to-medium ("ultimate" me hoo-ha) and the fluid formula is less pigmented than my usual go to cream concealers like Bobbi Brown or Benefit Erase Paste. So despite the blurb I didn't find it all that great for hiding my dark circles or blemishes, and I thought it was a little bit on the greasy side of hydrating. Ladies with dry skin who don't have particularly severe panda eyes will probably get on well with this as an under-eye concealer, and I expect that it will give them a nice natural dewy finish, but it's really not going to suit everyone.
