Medi Pedi at the Beauty Suite

Tootsies are high on my agenda at the moment. Mine are ravaged from a winter in tights and my fondness for heels always leaves them in a less than desirable state anyway. The thought of baring them for summer is at the moment, quite frankly, horrifying.

So I was most pleased to see that Girlfriday left a comment last week about her experiences in The Beauty Suite, where she had a medi pedi - something I am planning on doing myself shortly, and I know a lot of you are also interested, judging on the e-mails we've been getting from you. This is what she had to say about her experience:

"I booked myself in for a medi pedi in the Beauty Suite, South William Street yesterday. The treatment took about an hour and 10 minutes, and all in all, was very good. The therapist use an alkaline solution to dissolve away hard skin and callouses, so there are no blades or scrapers.

However, a good deal of elbow grease goes into scrubbing away with an exfoliating scrub. Anyway, the end results were great - my feet really do feel lovely and soft, and most of the hard skin on my heels is gone.

I would definitely recommend the treatment - it cost €85 for the full treatment and polish, but I feel that it was money well spent. No matter how much you scrub away your hard heels with a pumice in the shower, it would be impossible to get such a great result".

Excellent! All hands (and feet) to the Beauty Suite, so!
