Transform your Eye Shadows with Trish McEvoy Finish Line

Trish McEvoy

This little bottle of what looks like water doesn't seem a very exciting or glamourous makeup product when you buy it. Take it home, however, and you'll discover you can turn all your favourite eye shadows into liquid liners, effectively doubling your eye makeup collection! The dropper top makes it easy to dispense a drop of the liquid onto a clean surface, or into the palm of your hand, in order to wet your eye liner brush. Then simply pick up colour from an eye shadow (I usually keep to one corner of the pan, so the other side stays dry for eye shadow application) and apply to the eyelid as a smooth liquid liner.

Now you might say you could do the same with water, but having tried both methods, I find the Finish Line gives a more pigmented and longer-lasting result. The liquid itself is thicker than water and when mixed with shadow, it feels heavier and more substantial than shadow mixed with water only. The line also stays perfectly in place all day until I remove it with makeup remover.

Finish Line works best with pigmented shadows - I love it with Bobbi Brown's liner eye shadow shades, or Laura Mercier's cake liners.

Trish McEvoy is available from Brown Thomas and Harvey Nichols. I paid €21 for this when I bought it, but with VAT increasing, the price will have gone up since then.
