Everybody loves a wedding proposal, right? The cheesier, the better seems to work the best.

Anyone who's done one for real knows that your Facebook and Instagram is basically on fire for the next 24 to 48 hours, with all sorts of people you haven't talked to in years coming out of the woodwork.

YouTuber Zach Brousard came up with a pretty ingenious way of getting himself a heap of Likes on social media - he faked a wedding proposal. And then, somehow, got other people to do the same.

As you'll see in the video, people passing by were approached and asked if they wanted to give it a shot.

Watch what happens.

So, there you have it. Feeling down that nobody Likes anything on your Facebook? Just come up with a fake wedding proposal picture!

The setback is that once people find out it's all a cod, they're probably not going to be friends with you anymore.

Better weigh that up before you go through with it.
