Rate It: Deodorant / Antiperspirants

Do any of you remember the days when people used talcum powder as deodorant or at least as a drying agent? As a kid I used to love when my mother would pat powder all over me with a big fluffy puff after bathtime - I felt so dry and clean! I still love the smell of talcum powder; it's the definition of a freshly laundered skin.

It's difficult to choose deodorants. The one I'm using now, one of the glass bottle roll-ons by Nivea, Pure Invisible, is frankly horrible. It's the type of deo that has a smell you could easily mistake for muskiness at the end of the day. I would throw it out but I believe in finishing what I started.

I own another Nivea anti-perspirant - Invisible for Black & White - that I much prefer but I restrict it to use in the gym because it comes in an aerosol can that makes everyone in my house sneeze. I'm not a fan of aerosols anyway but that's a another story.

There are so many antiperspirant deodorants on the market all claiming to target different things but to get right down to the bone, all we really need is that clean and dry feeling all day long. That's not a lot to ask now, is it?

Can you reveal anything that has worked particularly well for you? Have you any deo horror stories? Any natural methods you would like to share? To the comments!
