The rumour mill was a-stirring earlier this month with talk that Helena Bonham Carter has been cast as Princess Margaret for the new season of hit Netflix series The Crown.
A new photo posted via Instagram over the weekend heavily gestures that the rumours are true.
It’s been known for a while now that creator Peter Morgan intended to recast The Crown’s characters as they got older, but so far only one replacement actor has been confirmed – Olivia Colman will take the place of Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth.
Over the weekend, Vanessa Kirby, who plays Princess Margaret in Season 1 and 2 of The Crown, posted a photo of herself with, you’ve guessed it, Helena Bonham Carter, and as an extra hint that Carter is indeed replacing her in the next season, Kirby tagged the post “@thecrownnetflix”
