Irish stars nominated for big TV BAFTA awards

Sharon Horgan and Graham Norton have done the country proud this morning as they lead the Irish charge in this year's TV BAFTA nominations.

Horgan finds herself up for 'Female performance in a comedy programme' for her stellar work on her and Rob Delaney's 'Catastrophe', while Graham Norton has two-ish nominations, one for 'The Graham Norton Show' and the other(ish) one for being a part of Adele's 'Adele At The BBC'. He may well be the one going up to accept it if Adele wins as she's scheduled to perform in Berlin on the same night as the awards, so Graham may be walking home with two more awards of his own.

Meanwhile, fan favourites 'First Dates' and 'Gogglebox' are battling it out for the 'Reality and constructed factual' BAFTA, while our very own Aidan Turner will have to convince the public to vote for him as 'Poldark' is nominated in the 'Radio Times audience award' category.

The awards will take place at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 8 May. You can read the full nominations list below.
