We’ve all heard the saying “you are what you eat”, well eating more of these foods will help you get gorgeous clear skin.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes are a great source of vitamin C and are full of nutrients that help protect your skin against sun damage.

This means they are great for maintaining healthy skin.

An easy way to include them in your diet is to add them to salads or make your own homemade pasta sauce.

Spinach

Spinach contains iron, vitamin A, magnesium, vitamin E and fibre. It also contains antioxidants which help repair the skin from damage and provide an overall healthy glow.

Avocado

Yes, this trendy food item is also great for your skin. Avocado is full of essential healthy fats which keeps the skin flexible and moisturised.

The most popular way to eat avocado is, of course, to spread it over toast, some adding an egg on top too.

You can also add it to salads or make healthy guacamole.

An easy way to eat more sweet potato is to make your own homemade chips rather than buying the prepackaged versions. This ensures you get all of those important nutrients.

Red and Yellow Bell Peppers

Bell peppers are a great source of vitamin C which is necessary for creating the protein which keeps the skin firm.

According to a study, women who eat plenty of vitamin C rich foods have a reduced risk of getting wrinkles and dry skin as they get older.

Bell peppers can be added to many different meals including salads, fajitas and stir-fries or eaten raw with some hummus.
