Smashbox's Halo Hydrating Perfecting Face Powder sounds divine

When Girlfriday told us yesterday about a nifty-sounding Smashbox powder that she's just ordered online, I was absolutely intruiged and toddled off to find out a bit more about it. And what did I discover? Well, this is no ornery powder: in addition to giving the illusion of a flawless complexion, Smashbox's Halo Hydrating Perfecting Face Powder also claims to be anti-aging. Formulated with a blend of vitamins, antioxidant goji berries, moisturising wheat protein and encapsulated water, it promises to help increase skin plumpness and actually reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It's also oil-free, talc-free, and paraben-free, comes with Smashbox's #29 powder brush, and can be used either as a light foundation or as a finishing powder.

All of which sounds feckin' mighty - but the real beauty of Halo Hydrating Perfecting Face Powder lies in the way it's dispensed. It's essentially a pressed powder with a 'grater' built into the compact - you twist the grater to shave off just the right amount of product as and when you need it and voilà - your pressed powder magically takes the form of a loose powder! Cooooooooooool.

It ain't cheap, though: this laddie will set you back €65 (sweet merciful hour!) from Smashbox stockists nationwide.
