A horse danced to Santana's Smooth at the Olympics & Twitter went a bit nuts

Remember Smooth? Released in 1999, guitar hero Carlos Santana's collaboration with Matchbox 20 singer Rob Thomas? Of course, you do. And if you pretend not to know all of the words, you're only lying to yourself.

Well, the song has been given something of a new life after it was used during the dressage (i.e. dancing horses) tournament at the Olympics.

Spanish rider Severo Jesus Jurado Lopez and his horse Lorenzo competed in the competition yesterday, and the Internet subsequently went a bit nuts - even though they didn't rank highly enough for a medal, eventually finishing 5th. This was AFTER their performance had also segued into Bon Jovi's It's My Life for the finale. There's just no pleasing some Olympic equestrian dressage judges.

Unfortunately, the video in question is not online due to restrictions, but the Twitter reaction should surely conjure up just how magical a spectacle it was:
