KFC Set to Introduce Edible Coffee Cups

KFC Set to Introduce Edible Coffee Cups

Feel like no one understands the insatiable desire you seem to have to eat the cup that your coffee comes in when you're finished with it? KFC understands, and they want to help.

That's why they've teamed up with Seattle's Best Coffee to produce a new type of coffee cup that will provide you with a snack as well as a caffeine boost. They're calling this idea the "Scoff-ee" (see what they've done there), and the cup will be made of some form of biscuit, allowing you to dig in after you've finished your cup of Joe.

In a further effort to make this more enticing, the cups will be laced with scents that evoke the idea of summer, including "coconut sun cream, freshly cut grass and wild flowers ". Not sure we want to eat any of those things, really.

Brandy Wright, who worked on the cups, spoke to The Telegraph to clarify exactly why they chose those fragrances: "These scents were used in our recipes as they have a natural ability to evoke the positive memories we associate with warm weather, sunshine and summer holidays".

The cups are set to hit branches in the UK in time for the summer, so there's a decent chance they'll end up over here. Or you could just have regular coffee in a standard cup, we suppose.

Would you be tempted to gobble your cup after you've finished your coffee? And shouldn't it really be made of some time of non-melty chocolate?
