The best and worst dressed at the TV Choice Awards

The best and worst dressed at the TV Choice Awards

I always look forward to TV awards because the red carpet is more often than not an absolute satin, cut-out, too-short disaster. So imagine my disappointment when most guests at this year’s TV Choice awards arrived like they were going to their nephew’s Christening, or at best, an office Christmas party that is verging on the fancy side.

Dear God, but it was a bore-fest.

There is a silver, or rather, pink lining, however, in the form of Fearne Cotton who turned up in a fully grown person version of her baby daughter’s princess dress. Nice lip colour and shoes, though.

In fairness to them, some guests did shine above the others, and most of them shone like angels on high in white.

  • Katie Price (I know!)

Black was obviously present in various forms, but these two frocks worn by Michelle Collins and Fearne McCann were a cut above, thanks to the skirt length which is so now, and so flattering.

Susanna Reid gets points for her interestingly structured red number:

While Lacey Turner gets points for her glorious mane.

Dr Zoe Williams and Dr Sara Kayat make the Best Dressed cut because they at least made an effort. And dammit, they look good.

Back to the good stuff aka the bad stuff.

Denise Van Outen’s ensemble isn’t hideous per se, but it’s an overdone formula that looks like it doesn’t fit quite right. Oh no, the choker matches the lace at the top of her top. That's just not right.

This may be down to a taste thing, but I hate the colour and satin material and the inclusion of that body chain that all the young ones are snapping up from Penneys. If Coco Chanel had any say she’d tell Jennifer Metcalfe that that is the once piece from the final result to remove.

See the other guests below, and let us know: who is your best and worst dressed?
