5 Easy Ways To Style Combat Boots

Combat boots or chunky boots are a winter wardrobe essential, they're the perfect balance of comfort and style. Here are 5 easy ways you can wear them from some of our favourite creators.

1. Any style of jean

Combat boots work perfectly with all styles of jeans especially skinny, straight and mom jeans.

Helen has paired hers with some acid wash mom jeans and a leopard print top giving us an effortlessly cool and edgy look.

They would also look amazing paired with some black or light-wash skinny jeans and a cosy knit jumper.

2. A-line or fitted skirt

This one may sound strange to some people but combat boots look so cool with fitted skirts, they give your outfit an instant edgy vibe, as Tanya demonstrates in this Instagram post.

Pair a bold or printed fitted skirt with some sheer tights, combat boots, a plain top and some layered necklaces to achieve this more rock chick version of a clueless inspired look.

3. A coat and black skinny jeans

If you're not a fan of the edgy look don't worry, you can still rock combat boots too.

Take some inspiration from Becky and pair yours with a nice winter coat, some black skinny jeans and your favourite handbag for a fabulous classy and sophisticated outfit.

We love how nicely the neutral tones of her coat and jumper compliment the rest of the outfit and the studs on the boots are a cool little detail.

4. A dress

Believe it or not, combat boots and dresses actually do work well together.

The trick is picking the right type of dress.

Generally, I think combat boots look best with short day dresses, maxi dresses and short dresses with long sleeves.

Emer perfectly demonstrates how well they work together by pairing some Dr Martens with a lovely little star print dress from Nasty Gal.

5. All Black

I'm personally a huge fan of a good all-black outfit. Honestly, the dream is to have an all-black wardrobe someday.

Combat boots are made for all-black outfits, as they are typically black so they naturally match perfectly.
