Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are popular bridesmaids. We bet they give a very good gift

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are fashion. They're more fashion than Anna Wintour. They're certainly more fashion than Alexa Chung or Olivia Palermo. The Olsen twins are the types of fashion people who don't even talk about their style because they don't need to; they're living it 24/7.

Even though they are hugely successful in the fashion world, their personal style is not universally loved. They were criticised for their 'granny-chic' look of their NYU days and have been objects of scorn over the long, baggy dresses they tend to wear to events where everyone else is basically flashing.

They will, however, go with the dress code, in their own special way. Both Olsen sisters were among the eighteen bridesmaids at friend Cassie Coane's wedding. The former DJ and creative director of the Gomelsky watches line married in New York over the weekend, and the bridesmaids wore floral. Well, they wore a version of floral.

There's MK at the back and Ashley, in black, giving her best sultry smize over the bride's shoulder.

Unique is the word to best sum up the bridesmaid arrangements, and the particular gúnas the Olsens chose.

Let's see them in action.

I love Mary-Kate's traditional voluminous Kimono style mini-dress and emerald Balenciaga shoes. That's a forever and ever piece right there. Ashley, in her trademark black, rocked statement sleeves that cannot be sniffed at. The rest of the bridal party were uber stylish, too. We're pretty sure none of them was wearing Penneys.

This isn't the first time the Olsen twins were asked to be bridesmaids. They wore boho whites to their godmother's wedding in 2007.
