Bathtime for sensitive skin with Boots Expert

expert emolient bath oil.jpgI've been trying out a couple of body moisturising treats for sensitive skin from the Boots Expert range.

Hypoallergenic, fragrance free and dermatologist approved these products work. And they work well. No frills, no gimmicks, pure and simple hydration and comfort for dry and sensitive skin.

First up I tried the Sensitive Moisture Boost Body Cream. This is quite a dense cream (not as heavy as body butter but far more substantial than body lotion), smooth it on and your skin will be superbly hydrated with a silky sheen. Don't you love that term - smooth it on? It sounds so elegant. But you can lash it on instead if you like. Either way, it's lovely and won't irritate sensitive skin.

I tried it out after my nightly shower. Do you think my skin feels soft? I said, snuggling up to the husband. Your skin always feels soft he replied absently, patting my proffered arm, his gaze still firmly fixed on his latest buke. (He keeps Easons busy, with a path worn to the new fiction shelves.) No, but does it feel REALLY soft I demanded. As in softer than usual? Hmmm... I suppose it does he said... putting down the book.

Cough, now where was I? Oh yes, I was going to tell you about the Expert Emollient Bath Oil. Bath and shower products often use ingredients which can actually dry out your skin. You know that Itchy and Scratchy Show feeling you get when you've had a big bubble bath sometimes? Well this stuff does quite the opposite. Full of moisture rich ingredients this leaves your skin soft and smooth. Deliish.

If you want a full on perfumed, or extravagant bath treat don't choose this range. But if you need something practical that works well and most importantly won't make you sneeze/scratch/itch or blister: these are for you.
