Bliss The Youth As We Know It: The "Dew" it all range

One of the things that I most dislike about the winter months is the shortening of the days. Try as I might to revel in the satisfying crunch of fallen leaves or the head-clearing crispness of the air, this business of it being dark when you wake up and dark when you start thinking about heading home and then usually overcast and freezing in between the darkness is just depressing. Adding insult to injury is the lacklustre appearance that skin can take on when there's an "R" in the month, which is horrible timing considering that the parteee season is just around the corner.

All is not lost, however: the nice people at Bliss want to give us our glow back with their The Youth As We Know It range. The products in the line were developed to recreate the effects of their much-lauded spa facial of the same name at home, and are formulated to improve the appearance of tone, elasticity, fine lines, volume and wrinkles. I've been giving the moisturisers a whirl, and have to say that I'm definitely impressed with their radiance-giving properties.

There's a fluid concentrate (€59.50) that smells deliciously grapefruit-y, contains pearl extract which works immediately and over time to impart a luminous, candlelit glow, and also features a trio of professional-strength moisturisers used in the facial which are released in two stages throughout the day to ensure that skin stays hydrated, smoothed and plumped. On my greasy mush, I just used the concentrate alone as a light moisturiser, but it can also be used as a night treatment or serum-stylee in partnership with the moisturising cream (€72.75). That's obviously richer in texture but is a veritable anti-aging powerhouse, with not one, not two, but ten of Bliss' top active anti-aging ingredients to renovate wrinkles, relax surface lines, stir cellular exfoliation and oxygenation, encourage the regeneration of collagen and elastin, brighten skin tone and help lock in lasting hydration. Seriously, wow. The cream is primarily intended for use by those in the 30+ age bracket with normal to dry skin. Last but not least is the eye cream (€51.75), which is lush but quickly absorbed and packed with all the same age fighters as the moisturiser.
