Last Wednesday, on a dull rainy summer eve, I ventured down to The Salon at the Shelbourne to try out their new summer package.
I know; what a job. I have a tough life.
The summer package is designed to get you summer ready for your upcoming holiday - or just because you're worth it. The package consists of a mini manicure and mini pedicure followed by the 'Eye Trio' treatment. I told you looking after your eyes is a holiday must-do!
But what is an eye trio treatment, I wanted to know, as I am extremely particular about my eyebrows (as you can imagine). Turns out, the process is brow and lash tinting and a brow shape. The poor therapist had her work cut out for her with me as her client, but she was most professional and took it all in her stride. The colour was spot on and I was happy with the shape. Most importantly, she listened to what I wanted and didn't take too much off.
Next up was the pedicure. My feet soaked in a warm foot spa and my cuticles prepped and nails polished. I went for a nice summery coral tone as I felt it would go with most things.

Next up was a mini manicure. My cuticles were tidied up and nails filed into shape. I had previously had gel nails removed badly (elsewhere) and all my nails were chipping and splitting so again they had their work cut out for them. The therapist was thorough and suggest we keep them really short for them to gain strength and get into better condition. There is a huge range of nail colours to choose from but because I didn't really want to draw attention to my hands in their current condition I chose a really light nude colour. They looked so much better after; I felt I had new hands.
All in all, it was a most enjoyable Wednesday evening. All my lovely treatments most definitely left me feeling summer ready just in time for the rain to stop and the evening sun to come out for my journey home.
