Did you just love SoSueMe's wedding makeup? Here's how to recreate it...

SoSueMe's wedding makeup was a classic light-on-the-lid-smokey-crease eyeshadow with eyeliner flicks along with flawless skin and perfect contouring.

Okay, so SoSueMe's wedding makeup is certainly not a 'natural' bridal makeup. It's a 'wearing lots of makeup' bridal makeup look. But let's be honest, most of us don't want to look 'au naturel' on our wedding day; we want to look perfect. Unfortunately, perfect = flawless in most girls' heads and the only way to achieve flawless is with quite a bit of shlap.

Get the look

If you want that flawlessly contoured with come-to-bed-eyes look, you could ask your makeup artist to recreate Suzanne's look for you. We'll tell you the basics of the look so you can decide if it's a look you really would love to wear on your big day.

Skin

For the skin, you will need full coverage foundation. It needs to be powdered well to set a smooth base for your contouring to blend over. You could use Chanel Perfection Lumiere Long Wear Flawless Fluid Makeup SPF10 (€42) to get the same photo-ready, matte, velvety skin. Powder it well with MAC Studio Fix Powder and then use a warm bronzer to contour and add warmth to your skin - we recommend MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Medium Deep to get the same contour as Suzanne.

Her blush is quite natural - go for a little Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush in Rose D'Or to enhance your cheekbones effortlessly. Finish your skin with highlighter and lots of it. Nothing will give you that high-shine serious highlight like the SoSu by Suzanne Jackson Highlighter Kit.

Lips

For the lips, Suzanne went for a typical bridal colour. This is what we call 'lip-colour-nude'. It's a colour that will enhance your own lips and make them stand out in pictures without adding too much colour to your face. We have said it before and we'll say it again - you won't go wrong with this lip combo: Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk lip pencil with MAC Faux lipstick.

Eyes

Suzanne had a really strong brow to frame her eyes. It looks like her makeup artist carved out her brows with concealer to really make them sharp. To create this eyeshadow, you need a really good eye base like Urban Decay Eye Potion so that the colours really adhere to the skin on your eyelids. Then apply a bright eyeshadow with a shimmer to it and a warm matte brown shade in your crease and blend really well.

This next part is serious forward planning; Suzanne had a very natural set of semi permanent lashes applied a couple of days before the wedding, just in case she was tearful and lost one of her strips. She had backup lashes! Very clever, we think. Her makeup artist finished the eyes with SoSu strip lashes called The Wedding Lash and gel liner winged out.
