Nails Inc. Gel Effect Polish: All the Gloss of Gel With Half the Effort

We're a little late in fan girling on this product, but the new offering from Nails Inc. is my favourite nail product of the year by far. This new range aims to duplicate the uber-glossy look and longevity of a gel manicure.

Standard gel manicures are great - gel polish is applied and set with a UV light. Boom - you have glossy, perfectly polished and chip-free nails for two weeks. Returning to the salon to have the gel soaked off is a bit of a drag, though. Time-strapped ladies might find themselves ruining their nails by trying to pick the gel off. Very bad indeed.

This offering from Nails Inc. does not promise to last for two weeks. However, it is noticeably more durable than standard nail polish.

  • I've been wearing one of the colours featured here and I've just suffered a little chip - on day SIX.
  • I wear my nails rather long and am not very gentle with them, so I'm seriously impressed. They withstood much
  • cooking,
  • typing,
  • the planting of next Spring's tulips (I know, I'm getting ahead of myself)
  • at least one hour of frustratedly searching for the end of the sellotape.
  • The finish is noticeably plumper and glossier than standard polish too - it looks just like gel. I can't help but admire my nails every time I look at them!

This polish comes in just four shades:

  • Kensington High Street- a rich violet
  • Bond Street- a true indigo
  • St. James - a luscious cherry red
  • Porchester Square, an interesting greige.

Porchester Square is Nails Inc's most popular polish in their standard range and my favourite nail polish shade ever. To top that, Beyonce was spotted wearing the gel effect polish in this shade - its apparently her go to nude.

You could try this because Beyonce did, or just because it's beautiful. At €18 each, these aren't the cheapest polishes you'll find, but the finish is beyond compare.

What do you think of these and have you tried them? Do you think the price is reasonable for long lasting polish?
