On Trial: Murad Sleep Reform

D'yiz know that  I'm a bit fond of the works of Dr Howard Murad? And by 'the works', I mean 'the products'.

They're pricey, but. His durian-fruit packed Age Reform Intensive Resurfacing Peel product is a whopper of a price at €225, and his cellulite solutions are hardly any cheaper. And yet anything I've tried I've loved - I reckon his Perfecting Day Cream SPF 30 is one of the best moisturisers I've ever used, in fact. So I thought that, even though this new Sleep Reform Serum is €99, it would be a worthy candidate for review on the blog. If it was any cop, of course.

What piqued my interest about it to begin with was the fact it contains melatonin. Now, I iz no scientizt, but as far as I know, it's important in the regulation of our circadian rhythmns and it's being studied intensively at the moment to see how it can be harnessed for use in sleep and beauty remedies.

The product also contains a Repair Enhancement Matrix (REM Complex) that's made up of two other potent actives: Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) for muscle relaxation and Methylsulfonylmethany (MSM) for reducing inflammation. Along with melatoin, I should be seeing the following: "a restful sleep for skin, building connective tissue and improving repair, growth and development of muscle tissue. This translates to a more resiliant, youthful-looking skin."

I've been checking it out for about a week and while it feels lovely, smells of lavender and relaxy things and it soaks in really nicely, it's not a long enough period to see a real difference.

So I'm going to carry on with it till the bottle is done, and report back - watch this space.
