Kylie's lips have shot to fame in the last few years; she is best known for a plump, matte, brown pout. The shade she uses really suits her, but you have to remember she has an olive complexion, dark eyes and dark hair. This can look completely different on a fair-skinned person with, say, blond hair. Everyone can wear a brown lip, but you have to find the shade of brown to suit you.
If you have pink tones in your skin, pick a brown with a pinky undertone. If you have auburn hair, a brown with a reddish undertone could complement your colouring. If the matte brown trend is something you haven't tried, it might be an idea to start with a cheap version to test it out. This look is not for all tastes. It's quite dramatic; the matte finish makes it a real statement lip. If you are not used to it, you will be out of your comfort zone. Give it a few hours, though, it takes time to get used to a new feature on the face you know so well. Take lots of pictures before you decide if you love it or hate it.
