WWD.com breaks the news that Mac will launch a 30-piece collection globally in October - so we can expect it here about a month or so later. Coming hot on the heels of yesterday's news that Estee Lauder is working on a capsule edit to celebrate Mad Men, will the autumn be bringing us a feast of retro nostalgia? Time'll tell.
Until we know more, here's what WWD reports: "Mac Cosmetics will celebrate Marilyn Monroe’s legacy and iconic beauty look with a limited edition color cosmetics collection, due at all worldwide MAC locations in October. Launched in partnership with Authentic Brands Group LLC, which acquired the intellectual property of Marilyn Monroe LLC in January 2011, the range will feature about 30 custom-designed stockkeeping units, priced from $15 to $27, and include eye shadows, lipsticks, nail lacquers and eyeliners."
