Meryl (can I call her Meryl?) is the most fabulous actress. Ever. Period. And when you have a legend like that, how you can possibly pick an actress to match her greatness and bring said actress to life on the big screen? Well, Meryl herself has the answer. And in Meryl we trust.
The actress was recently interviewed by the Huffington Post in promotion of her latest film, Florence Foster Jenkins.
In a rapid-fire Q&A session, the actress was queried about which celebrities she thought had obscure talents. When asked who would play Meryl Streep in a biopic, the actress perhaps surprisingly answered ‘Amy Schumer, of course.’
The comedian was only too delighted and tweeted the good news herself:
