Create Jessica Chastain's Golden Globes Look: It's Perfect For Red Hair, Pale Skin

Jessica Chastain looks like she stepped straight from Shop Street in Galway.

With her red gruaig, pale skin and sludge eyes, she has exactly the same type of colouring that many of us Irishers share.

71st Annual Golden Globe Awards - Arrivals

Refreshingly, her Golden Globes look was pared back and let her natural beauty shine through.  I always imagine that the makeup at awards ceremonies takes approx 1 million hours and involves much tricksey contouring and David Blaine style magic. And of course I also imagine that they use products not available to us mere mortals.

However cosmetic companies often rush to share the news if they've had the honour of making up a celeb for any big event - in the hope that we will rush out and buy ALL the things to "get the look".

In the case of Kim Kardashian say, these things can run into the millions.

For this look Jessica got the full YSL treatment:

  • Le Teint Touche Eclat foundation in B10 to create a luminous base,
  • Touche Eclat in #1 to highlight around eyes (and down the nose from the looks of things).
  • Blush Radiance #4 was used on the cheeks
  • Singulier Waterproof Black Mascara (and false lashes) were applied.
  • Ombres 5 Lumieres #3 Tawny on the eyes
  • Rouge Couture in Fuschia #19 on the lips.  Blot it for this matte effect.

So there you go.  It's an achievable look that I'd imagine most of use could create - and if you don't want to use YSL you will be able to dupe all these shades in the budget brands.

What do you reckon?  Do you like the "no eyeliner or mascara under the eyes" look?
