This year Shailene Woodley is proving that you don't need to be a man to be the Man of the Year.

Every year GQ releases their nominations for the coveted Man of the Year award, and 2014's list is packed full of the biggest stars of the year, so much so that they decided not to limit it to just the lads this time.

Shailene Woodley and her co-star from The Fault in Our Stars, Ansel Elgort, both make the list, with the hit movie confirming their stars are on the rise (cheesy pun intended). Michael Sam, the first openly gay athlete in the NFL blazed a trail for equality in sports this year, hence his nomination, while Chris Pratt had a blockbuster year after he became a Hollywood leading man (and underwent a style transformation) in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Nearly a decade after he walked away from one of the biggest and most critically acclaimed comedy shows going, Dave Chappelle returned this year to do a series of sold out shows in New York, and 2015 might be even bigger for him as well as Steve Carell, who also appears on the list and may well get an Oscar nod for his performance in Foxcatcher, which will hit screens here soon.

You can expect to see the latest editions of the magazine with a special cover for each nominee on the shelves soon, but until then check out our gallery below to see some of their most stylish moments.

What do you make of Shailene's inclusion? Bit confusing or fabulously gender busting? To the comments!
