Nails ravaged from gel? You need this little wonder product STAT.

I love the look of gel nails. A good manicure is one of the easiest ways to look like you've got your shit together. But though they look amazing, they can brutalise your poor fingertips.

I decided to try out gel nails for my upcoming wedding and while I loved the effect, I realised it wasn't something I could keep up for the whole year. I work with eyebrows on the days I'm not in Beaut HQ, and due to the intricate work, I need full use of my finger tips. But as life and work often gets in the way, I hadn't had the time to go back to the place I got them done to get them removed and just popped into a place around the corner from the office. Big Mistake.

They used a drill type machine to remove the false nails but also took a lot of my natural nail with it. I don't have the strongest nails to begin with, but after this, they were splitting right down the centre, and I couldn't grow them at all. With the wedding in a couple of months at that time, I was slightly panicking, as you can imagine.

That was until I got my hands on this little miracle in a bottle. Jessica Phenomen Oil is a healing and rehydrating oil for dry cuticles and to promote healthy nail growth. (It is also excellent for elbows, feet, knees and any other rough, dry areas of skin that need deep moisturisation.)

The product is enriched of all sorts of nourishing ingredients like Vitamin E, Jojoba, Sweet Almond Oil and Rice Oil which work wonders on dry or chapped skin. It took about a month of daily application but my nails are now better than normal and ready for my wedding application of gel nails in two weeks time. And don't worry, I've learned my lesson. I will have them removed properly this time, and I'll make sure to use my Jessica Oil all throughout wearing them.

This product is perfect for nail-biters, anyone with dryness around the cuticle or hands in general, for those who struggle to grow their nails and just for keeping your nails looking strong and healthy all year round.
