Why buy serum? Because it works

It's really funny, but I've been asked this question tons of times in the last week. From all sorts of women of different ages.

"If there was one thing you'd recommend me to buy skincare wise what would it be?" I had the same answer every time. (Apart from moisturiser with SPF of course.)

Serum.

Now I would have thought too that this was just one more thing to buy. To purchase. To swell the coffers of the cosmetic companies. But no - serums really work. I can honestly vouch for them - supercharged with vitamins, packed with intensive skin nourishing ingredients, I think they're a must for serious skincare devotees. Apply a couple of squirts of serum before moisturiser (both day and night) and it will be the best thing you can do for your skin.

I get through bottles of this stuff and I've tried quite a few brands. Here's some recommendation

If you're over 35 and concerned about dehydration and possible lines try one of the next three. They do actually tone and firm. More expensive than the first two, but excellent.

  • Estee Lauder Night Repair. It's an oldie but boy is it a goodie. Love it.
  • Prescriptives Super Line Preventor. Reminds me of the Estee Lauder above. Another orange gloop that does your skin SO much good
  • Kimia - not strictly a serum but it has the same effect - it's an all natural botanical oil that is just gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous

Now, which are the serums that do it for you?

UPDATE: I should have included a link to How to use serum !
