A demo of the new Spice Girls song 'Song for Her' has been leaked

A demo from the new version of the Spice Girls (who were reportedly called GEM before Mel B rather confusingly clarified that that was just the name of their website earlier this week) has reportedly been 'leaked'.

The Sun report hearing the demo of 'Song for Her' and describe it as "deep, with the lyrics talking about how Geri, Emma and Mel have at times felt they have lost their Spice identity due to the pressures of being mums".

They say that it's "perfect pop" with lyrics like "Wipe up your tears of doubt you have been crying / Lift up your dreams feel like you’re flying / Never forget the girl is the woman you are.”

However, as no one else has heard the song - and it's not online, so we can't hear it, either - it's more likely that journalists from The Sun were simply allowed to hear the song (but 'leaked' sounds better).

Emma Bunton told Heart FM: "You know, it is in the papers today. You know, us girls love creating stuff. We went and had a laugh in the studio. It’s not a single, it’s just we were creating."
