POLL: Is the Heathers TV remake a good or bad idea?

1989 cult classic, Heathers, is easily the most darkly funny film of the '80s, but it can't escape the clutches of the TV remake.

It's being made into an anthology series, when the cast of characters and setting changes with each season, but they're all somewhat loosely connected. Think like how Fargo's first season is sort-of connected to the second or how American Horror Story had most of the same cast in each season. That kinda thing.

This time around, it's not the Heathers ruling the school - it's the outsiders. The plot goes that the school is controlled by a group of Heathers, but they're all somewhat different from the original.

Heather McNamara is a black lesbian; Heather Duke is a male who identifies as gender-queer whose real name is Heath, and Heather Chandler has a body like Martha Dumptruck. For those that don't remember, Martha Dumptruck was the girl who was ruthlessly bullied by the Heathers in the original. So, essentially, it's turning it all on its head somewhat.

It's in the early stages yet, and no casting has been announced. However, the hope is that this pilot will be picked up where previous attempts to get a Heathers TV series failed. Three pilots so far have failed to make it to series. However, the hope is this is the one that'll get through.
